Scientific Production and Institutional Partnerships
IMIP has a long history as a publishing house, regularly releasing textbooks in the health field, and since 2001, the Revista Brasileira de Saúde Materno Infantil — indexed in 14 international databases including SciELO, SCOPUS, and EBSCO.
It provides technical and scientific consulting in public health for governments at local, regional, and national levels.
IMIP also maintains exchanges with international centers such as:
- University of Liverpool;
- Nagasaki University;
- Instituto Per l’Infanzia in Trieste;
- TDR/WHO;
- University of Montreal;
- Harvard University;
- University of East London;
- And other international institutions.
Furthermore, in 2006, IMIP became part of the National Clinical Research Network in teaching hospitals, established by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science and Technology, with the aim of consolidating a self-sustaining center of excellence in clinical research for the Northeast region of Brazil, with its own physical and organizational infrastructure.
